FAQs
Are Complementary Medicine and Alternative Medicine the same?
Complementary medicine is different from alternative medicine. A complementary therapy means you can use it alongside your conventional medical treatment. An alternative therapy is generally used instead of conventional medical treatment.
What are the different treatment routines used in Complementary Medicine?
Some of the treatment methods used in Complementary Medicine are acupuncture, yoga, aromatherapy, therapeutic massage and meditation.
At Dr Abraham’s Asthma & Allergy Research Centre, some of the methods of medical care being practiced are Allopathy, Vita-Nutrient Therapy, Homeopathy, Yoga Therapy, Diet Therapy, Counselling and Naturopathy. These systems of treatment are blended together in right proportion under professional expertise.
Do all these different treatment modalities work well together?
Absolutely yes! For example, Homeopathy and Vita Nutrient Therapy work very well together and complement each other. They have been used in combination for decades throughout the world.
Is Complementary medicine safe?
Different people will respond to treatments in different ways. How you might respond to a given treatment depends on many things, including your overall state of health, how the treatment is applied, or even your belief in the treatment. The multidisciplinary team at Dr Abraham’s Asthma & Allergy Research Centre ensures that the highest and most accurate treatment plan is delivered to the patients.
Is total cure guaranteed?
The Complementary Method of Disease Management requires cooperation from the patient. The pace of the healing process and the extent of cure depend on how the patient teams up with the medical professionals. If the patient obliges with the prescribed treatment plan (with regard to diet management especially), the total cure is possible at a fast rate.
Will the cure be slow? Or how long will it take to manage the disease completely?
The rapidity of curing depends on several factors such as history and severity of the disease, selection of the most suitable disease management plan, the physical generals of the patient, etc. At Abraham’s Asthma & Allergy Research Centre, we provide the best possible holistic care to our clients. Many of our patients have restored to health with very few consultations. Some of them have even experienced radical changes in their health condition after the first visit to the clinic.
Is Paediatric Asthma totally curable?
Based on his vast professional experience, Dr Abraham assures that ninety nine percent of the asthma cases of children are completely curable. Cooperation from their parents is an essential factor in the process of Disease Management. The cured children can return to their normal living pattern after discontinuing the treatment.
